Liverpool, Merseyside and Blackburn, Lancashire, England heard from Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland. My Yupiteru MVT 7100 was tuned in to a regular ham radio net on 3.697mhz lower sideband (the 80 meter amateur radio band). These lads are on most nights and conditions were so good on this occasion that I was picking them up no problem using only a 1.3 metre long general purpose mid loaded steel whip recieving antenna. The scanner is plugged into an old AKD surround sound speaker which greatly improves the audio quality. The video was recorded on my Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ9 on WVGA mode. Time was approximately 2:00am local time.

Note; The station operates on a -600mhz split, so unless you are capable of working split frequencies, you won't hear the (local) stations speaking to the ISS. Other stations may not even be on the same continent, so you wouldn't hear them anyway. This transmission was heard from Irvine Ayrshire, on the south west coast of Scotland. The length of time it can be heard varies depending on the elevation of the ISS above the horizon. It's line of sight, so as soon as it dissappears below...
